Confirming Scanner Requirements
Our listed Arizona open units are 0.3T scanners. The decimal matters: 0.3T and 3T are different field strengths. If your order specifically calls for a 3T examination or a particular protocol, contact the imaging center before scheduling so the team can check the requirement with your referring clinician.
Do not assume that an open scanner is also a wide-bore scanner. Ask the location about its scanner design and any size or comfort requirements. For Texas appointments in Katy, Sugar Land, Tomball, or Conroe, contact the local team to confirm the scanner model, field strength, and available examination options.
Planning an MRI After an Injury
For an MRI ordered after an injury, share the imaging order and any prior studies with the scheduling team. Ask which location can perform the requested examination, how to prepare, and how your referring clinician will receive the report. Your clinician should guide diagnosis and treatment decisions.
Discuss insurance verification, any authorization requirements, pricing, and available payment arrangements with the center before your appointment. Ask about current appointment availability and the expected reporting timeframe for your examination.
How to Request an MRI Appointment
Have your physician’s referral or imaging order, insurance information, and relevant prior imaging ready when you call. Tell the team if you experience claustrophobia or have a scanner requirement stated on your order. For open MRI in Arizona, ask about Scottsdale, Peoria, or Tucson–Campbell.
Our Arizona and Texas centers are open Monday through Friday and closed on weekends. Check the Locations directory for your center’s posted hours and call to confirm an appointment.
